Elizabeth F. Whited is a special advisor and former president of Union Pacific Corporation, one of America’s leading transportation companies. In her role as President, Whited lead the strategy, workforce resources, sustainability, law, corporate relations, communications and government affairs functions.

Since joining Union Pacific Corporation in 1987, Elizabeth has held a variety of executive roles in strategic planning, investor relations, ESG, finance, and marketing and sales, including serving as president of subsidiary Union Pacific Distributions Services. In 2018, she was named executive vice president and chief human resource officer and in 2022, she also took on the role of Executive Vice President-Sustainability and Strategy. She served in the role as president from August 2023 to July 2025. Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa.
